Need help with mortgage and car repair

November 03, 2008

My husband and I had to file for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy in June 2008. We had fell behind on the mortgage and the Mortgage Company (Homecomings Financial) would not work with us. We did not want to lose the house. After paying the $1650 required by our Attorney (New York State) we were able to file. Our Trustee payments were $850. After making the July and August payments to the trustee we realized that we were also susposed to make the mortgage payments on our own. We were under the impression that the mortgage payment was included in the trustee payment. We did start making the payments at the beginning of September. However, the mortgage company and bankruptcy court are demanding that we get current over a three month period. The three monthly payments may not be within our budget, since we will be paying the double of what we owe.

These are the three monthly payments

November 30, 2008 $1,858.27-this may be lower since the lawyer doesn't have record of a $500 payment I made in the beginning of October. I have the money order to prove it.

December 31, 2008 $1501.78

January 31, 2009 $1,951.78-this includes $450 attorney fees

February 2009 750.89 this is the normal monthly payment and includes the escrow.

If we get help with the November payment it will give us time to get the money for the other payments.

Eventually I am going to have to have my transmission rebuilt. My Sun Shell is breaking and eventually, even though the car is running now-when it breaks I won't be able to drive in reverse and soon drive al all. The best price I can get so far is $1500 unless one of our friends can do it cheaper. I can also get a used transmission for cheaper and find somebody to put it in. I also can just use the $1500 as a for a used car.

While my husband and I are putting money aside each payday into the joint account, we have other bills that must be paid they, including that November payment are listed below:

Trustee due on the 27th each month $855

Mortgage November 31 payment $1,858.27

Electric bill due November 21, 2008 $225

Heating Oil $500

Any help is appreciated. If 100 people can donate $50 that will be more than enough. I can pay this money back over time. I will be able to pay back at least $50 a week and still keep track on bills.

I can take paypal donations, in case the donate button does not work, here is my paypal address: mlmbizgirl2000@yahoo.com

Note: I will keep you updated on individuals who donate plus what I do by myself

I have $100 in my savings account

$200 I have in my dentist account that I have access to

$60 in my online money market account-this goes up each week as I add money to it.

$300 that I can use from my 401k (after tax contributions)

$700 that I can withdraw from my 401k (pre tax contributions)

$250 in our joint account-this goes up each week as we put into it.

Of what money I have available I need approximately $1800-3300 more and we will be good.

Thank you.

$1,400 for the Union Plus plus the entertainment and clothing varies. If I don't have the extra money, I don't entertain. Househole expenses include things like pet food cleaning supplies repairs around the house. Some of these bills such as the two credit cards and the past due phone I make weekly payments through my online billpay. I split the payment up over 52 weeks and that is the weekly payment. If the payment is less than $5.00 a week, I just make it a $5.00 payment. I did get some back due medical bills paid off. Once these are paid off, I will work on other bills. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for viewing my listing. For the last few years I have been struggling with debt, trying to make my monthly bills on time. One time I cosigned a loan for a family member and I got stuck paying it. That put me behind in debt. Back in 2004/2005, I started using payday loans to help me get by because my credit was shot and I couldn't get a loan. Today my credit is a lot better, because I have been paying off one small bill at a time. I just recently paid off three pay day loans $400. $500 and $1,600. Getting these three paid off I freed up $560 a month. I am making a goal not to take out anymore pay day loans. And Prosper is giving me that opportunity. I also learned my lesson about signing a loan for somebody other than myself. This family member did have the nerve to ask me to sign for another loan for her. I refused. I am asking for a loan of $2,650 to pay off two credit card and utilities. I am looking to pay off one bill or several small ones off at a time. I have decided to start with the small bills and work my way up. I decided that taking out smaller loans rather than one large loan, I can afford the monthly payments. $1,4000 Used to pay off Union Plus Credit Card $450 to pay off my First Primeier Credit Card $650 to pay off the past due city water/sewer bill $150 to pay off past phone bill Monthly net income: $ 3,500-this fluctuates because I work overtime when I get the chance Monthly expenses: before prosper Car expenses: $ 500 Utilities: $ 400 Phone, cable, internet electric: Union Plus Credit Card $220 First Primiere Credit Card $100 Past Due Water Bill $56 Past Due Phone bill $20 Food,$200 Entertainment: $ 150 Clothing, household expenses $ 100 $1746 Here's my monthly budget with after getting help Car expenses-$500-this inculdes car insurance Utilities $400 Food $200 Entertainment$150 Cloth ing, household expenses $100 $1,440 As you can see, I have over money left over to be used, not only for my bills, but for savings and emergencies so that I never get into this situation again. I can also pay back those who kindly help me out or help out others in need. I can begin to live a normal life free from the stress caused by Pay Day Loans. I have learned my lesson. I promise that bills will be my top priority each month. I'm not about to make a mistake with this opportunity to start rebuilding my credit. Thank you again for viewing my listing, and God bless.
